Thank God. I tried to open this phone myself and its working. Fortunately i''m just trying to read back rom it doesn't need to flash anything.

(26-02-2021, 09:09 AM)hovatek Your device should work again. Have you gotten the scatter file and preloader @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-34324.html and tried doing readback as @x3non instructed?

About the trial and error, i will do it someday. I just need the phone to stand by for now. I will reply this when i got problems with the experiment.

Okay, so I managed to backed up all partition except userdata, cache, and tranfs. Is it okay if i skip this 3 partition ? because when i readback everything, the current size is 5gb but progress still 5% which means it backing up the whole 128GB device. Even when i reset data it still showing the same progress. What i want is something like a few MB for userdata and cache because i factory reset my device. How to do that ?

you can skip userdata and cache, no problems
you should backup tranfs, no idea what it's for but it may be important, if this partition is below userdata & cache then get the scatter file and manually readback using the start addr and length of tranfs

Maybe, but it's between cache and userdata. and the format is same with both cache and userdata, ext4. so i think its not so important lol. there's tranfs too on signed factory firmware, but the size is small about 130KB. My backed up tranfs is about 100MB's.

Anyway, thank you xenon for the guide of everything. Finally i can root my phone and flash it anytime just like the old days.

this is perfect, you can skip only userdata

in wwr > assemble firmware, use the option "build a clean firmware"
this option will trim trailing zeroes reducing the files sizes to just as you have them in factory firmware

It turns out there's only battery log and god knows recovery file. Maybe it's vendor specific partition. Idk what's for but given the name tranfs, maybe it stands for "transsion fs" lol
