TWRP port on CUBOT Note 20 Pro

I recently purchased a Cubot Note 20 Pro (Mediatek 6771 Helio P60) for its removable battery (not for the so-called 4 lenses, with only one working).
Anyway, as I was trying to find a dedicated official TWRP version for this phone, but could get it anywhere. Then I found Hovatek's automated porting tool.
So, I tried v 1.7a GUI version to port recovery to my new phone. Everything seemed to work well. Using fastboot I flashed the empty vbmeta.img provided here before the recovery file. All went well… BUT when booting into recovery it was still the same old stock version that I had, NOT TWRP. Not sure what I did wrong...
Then, I tried again without restarting into Android. I get either a bootloop or a stuck at start logo (with orange warning: bootloader unlocked).
Do I have to wait for an official TWRP ?...
Any help welcome. Thanks in advance.

I tried everything... maybe it will work, but nothing... even I re-flashed stock ROM and begining from scratch... the same nothing...

(03-01-2022, 07:59 PM)elimoviebuff Has anyone found a successfully working recovery for the cubot note 20 pro. Im in the process of ordering my second one after bootlooping the first. I was also thinking that using a different recovery other than TWRP like philz might prove more successful .This is a major hurdle for me so that I may be able to backup my entire phone as needed.This phone is still pretty new. I hope that it catches on and more people find exploits to help out
