I have Realme X7 Pro which runs Mt6889z Dimensity 1000+. I was testing out latest Sp Flash Tools using X7 Pro ROM to see if there would any problems IF I ever wanted to use in future. Straight away scatter text came up invalid ,and " edit the scatter.txt in Notepad" is not a solution. Oppo/Realme firmware downloads come in "ozip" format which need a bit of work to extract to .zip(then extracted again by 7zip). Have downloaded Mt6889z firmware from Oppo.Realme and Redmi K30 ultra. They all failed on scatter text. So the question really is does SP flash tool work with latest MTK? The X7 Pro is recognised in ADB

OK Thanks. The reason I would use SP Flash (apart from bricked phone) would be to flash Magisk boot.img. So in theory,if there was no (non-ota)firmware to download for my Realme phone could I download similar Dimensity 1000+ firmware from Oppo or Redmi. Then load that firmware on SP Flash, untick all boxes, double click on "boot.img" and select Magisk boot.img and then flash. I had a similar problem on another phone recently where "preloader" gave error when firmware loaded. This was problem for all phone owners and someone uploaded preloader from similar phone that worked and then I flashed just the modified boot.img for my phone that way. I know I could use ADB to do this but that's means unlocking then locking back bootloader

In theory, Yes , assuming they have the same start address and length for the boot partitions.
Doing all these on a locked bootloader is risky

Have you tried pressing volume(down) and power button to start. It gets you into recovery I think where you have options in clouding reboot

Look. It turned off after I was using twrp, where I cformat and then installed the orange fix file. Zip. And now it does not respond to any button. I think it needs to be flashed by the sp flash tool
