Infinix Hot 10 (x682B) Boot Looping after Magisk installation attempt
Infinix Hot 10 (x682B) Boot Looping after Magisk installation attempt
(23-11-2020, 03:53 AM)epialis As the title says. I followed this guide: https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
This guide said the same things should work for my phone: https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-infinix-hot-10/
I also unlocked bootloader using this: https://www.mobilewithdrivers.com/unlock...gb-4gb-ram
It doesn't have a custom recovery. When I try to go to recovery manually (Vol UP + Power) it flashes the infinix logo then gives a black screen instantly on boot, then continues boot looping when I take my fingers off the buttons.
ADB and Fastboot fail to connect to the device in its various stages of bootlooping so I can't switch to fastboot mode.
SPFlash doesn't work, asks for an authentication file to flash the original ROM. That file is not available online. It only asks for it if the phone doesn't unluckily reboot mid-flashing. (Does anyone have the file?)
.
Holding down Vol UP and power makes the phone take a lot longer to show a screen, it also cycles between showing different USB devices in device manager - none are fastboot or ADB compatible however.
My idea is to switch to fastboot and flash the original boot img to undo the root, but I can't even get into that mode.
If it matters, it displays "Orange State - Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted - Your device will boot in 5 seconds"
I'm also using ROM X682B-H694ABT-Q-GL-201016V296
Help?

the guide at getdroidtips doesn't mention anything about dm_verity, you needed to disable dm_verity before attempting to flash any custom image to the device
also it's very unlikely that you'll be able to boot into recovery or fastboot mode once the device is stuck in the orange or red state loop as we've seen from other infinix and tecno devices
what you need now will be to find a working DA and or auth file for the model then flash back stock boot.img
(23-11-2020, 05:00 PM)epialis Where can I find a working DA? Is there really nothing I can do to break this loop?
EDIT: I searched online and found the attached file that claims to be the DA file. But I can't figure out how to use it? Everything else I found was encrypted archives and MEGA links that I couldn't open.
EDIT 2: The phone has stopped boot looping as it has run out of power. It still can't go into fastboot mode, and I still can't use SPFlash. Do I need to hold BOTH Vol UP and Vol DOWN while trying to connect with SPFlash or no?

your attached file is a text file, cm2's log and not a da file unless you didn't attach the right file. you could upload somewhere else e,g gdrive then post the link here
you don't need to hold any buttons before connecting the phone to the pc
(24-11-2020, 05:12 PM)epialis Sadly it is the correct file. It would seem the link was a scam. RIP.

You could try DA for other Tecno models but chances are that you'll require CM2 for the flash
(28-11-2020, 11:54 PM)epialis Can you suggest what Tecno models I should get the DA for? Do you happen to have them somewhere on this forum?
Chinese Miracle 2 is easy to get online, right?
