I was trying to root my tecno pouvour 4 (LC7) using magisk. I patched the boot image that I have downloaded from this site using magisk and booted to fastboot. I flashed the patched img which was successful. But I forgot to flash patched vbmeta image. I rebooted. The phone is now in boot loop (red state, your device has failed verification and may not work correctly. Please download boot image with correct signature or disable verified boot. Your device will boot in 5 seconds). I tried flashing the full signed stock rom from here using software downloadload tool. It runs then stops with: download failed. STATUS_SEC_MISMATCH (0.00/0.00m)(100%).

Any help will BE greatly appreciated. Thank you.

do you get the same error message if you try flashing with sp flash tool? if yes, then you'll need to flash your device using latest cm2 mtk module @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21827.html

I tried flashing using sp flash tool and got ERROR:STATUS_SEC_AUTH_FILE_NEEDED(0xC0030012). So you mean there is no other way other than using CM2 mtk module and buying the dongle?

for spft, you could try using tecno f2 lte auth file @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23243.html
chances are you'll still hit the initial error, which will lead you back to needing cm2 dongle
as for buying, you also have the option of looking for someone who has the dongle around your location

Ok. Will the Tecno F2 LTE authentication file be compatible being for a 6739 chipset? Also when flashing in SPFT, should I select everything or just the boot image? Thank you.

at this stage where the device is requesting for auth file, select everything when flashing

I took the damn phone to carlcare and they flashed it. Every thing is working fine. When I go to WiFi, I see a new entry: NVRAM WARNING: Err=0x10. What is this? Should it be a cause for concern?

that's not a major issue, you can operate the device and use wifi without problems
if you need to fix it ; see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-117.html (newer chipset) ; but you'll need a phone same model as yours without the nvram warning
