Hello Friends,
I am trying to disable Windows Updates. Would this (pausing windows update) be the right way to move ahead?

you can do that then also set your internet connection as metered connection to prevent windows from using the connection to automatically download updates

Thanks for sharing..I was fed up with Windows 10 updates and I was planning to install an earlier version of Windows to get rid of this problem. I wasn't aware that there are tools to prevent updates..

Follow these steps:
Run command (Win + R), Type in “services.msc” and hit Enter or click on start icon then search services, after that scroll to down and find the Windows update from the Services list, then double-click on that and click on the “General” tab and change the “Startup Type” to “Disabled”, click ok and restart your laptop.

you can also try Windows 10 AME (Ameliorated), it's a windows 10 without most of the bloatware and updates.

The correct way to disable the updates completely is through gpedit.msc follow the following article https://www.windowscentral.com/how-stop-...windows-10
