I have been attempting a readback of emmc_boot1 but i keep getting this error code any help pls?

what is the phone model in question? and are you able to successfully readback from emmc_user region?

you didn't answer the second question so i'll take it as a no, you can't readback from emmc_user
download the auth file for F2 lte @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23243.html
insert the custom DA for your device model and the auth file into sp flash tool then attempt to readback both from emmc_boot1 and emmc_user. for both regions, use the address below and post feedback

what exactly did you try? post full screenshots showing both the download and readback tab in sp flash tool

I downloaded the auth file like you asked, loaded it on spft,also loaded my device DA file on spft, wrote the address for both emmc_user and emmc_boot1 and attempted readback.it still gives me the same error. I will post screenshot later as my system is dead.
My question now is how did you successfully backup other tecno lc6 roms whereas i can't even get past readback? Pls help

what we have isn't backup, it's clearly indicated as factory firmware
last try for sp flash tool, download only preloader.bin from the list @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-29785.html
place it in the same folder location as the scatter file you got from wwr mtk
select the scatter file in spft, it should load preloader by default if not then select the preloader manually, select the DA and auth file as well then retry readback
