Hello all,
After unlocking bootloader (Infinix Hot 8), is it possible to root it? If there is away, kindly guide me through.
Thanks.

ensure that the firmware you saw matches the exact build number on your device
x650b uses as system-as-root, so you need to patch recovery to gain. follow the instructions as explained @ https://www.hovatek.com/blog/how-to-gain...rk-go-kc1/ ; disregard the device name on the topic header and ensure you use recovery.img for your device; download @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-29893.html

the method on such posts like that are generic ie written as though it has been tested on the device but it hasn't
e.g notice the bootloader unlock code says this or that. if it was tested then the right command for the device will be given without the need to specify this or that
also seeing as the device (x650b) uses system-as-root, the regular method of patching boot or flash magisk.zip wont work

you don't need twrp to root which is what you intend to achieve
