(08-05-2015, 11:41 PM)ExcellentAndroid Flashtools is not working: it properly loads the scatter file but when i press 'Download' everything turns grey except the stop button just as normal, but  it doesn't show any sigh of progression in the the flashing process. please what can possibly be the cause? What should I do?

you're probably not using it right.
1. ensure you'd installed vcom drivers using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-440.html
2. you're to connect the phone to PC (switched off with battery inside) just when stop shows red, not before

the problem is that the automatically starts booting when plugged to the PC. The PC also detects and releases it even when still plugged in.

Problem solved! It was my mistake; MT65xx drivers weren't properly installed on the PC so I had to do it manually. Fortunately it worked when I retried flashing using flashtools V5.xx. Thanks Hovatek.
