I had been charging for days with improvement, for how many more years do I have to charge for? If all fails, maybe send to Tecno.

if you read the instructions properly, there's no estimate time. charge till the charging sign shows up or better still simply disconnect / reconnect the battery

I opened the back cover, disconnected the battery, had it connected and I'd been  charging, still not up yet. Sure it can't be totally dead right?

it can if you formatted while using sp flash tool, download & flash factory firmware @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-25818.html
be sure to also download the custom DA for your model, it's stated in the link above as well
lets know the outcome when you attempt to flash

The phone isn't up yet and I'd been charging for days. Yes I have the 3 custom ROM with me. Or did you mean try it while the phone is still dead?

yes, that's exactly what i meant
since you've mentioned that you've successfully disconnected / reconnect the battery clip (just be sure its the battery not some other clip) then there's no point trying to charge any further, its now over to flashing firmware

Well I tried flashing though the phone didn't come up yet and yes its the battery clip, I'd been getting ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_FAIL (0xC0060005).

you flashed using factory firmware & the DA file for CA8 listed @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-25818.html ?
attach a full screenshot of the tool you used along with the error message
and try using software download tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23709.html
