[Please help] Rooting infinix hot 6 Pro
(06-03-2019, 11:48 AM)mrchurchie I have an infinix Hot 6 Pro with Android Security Patch level from January 1st 2019. I have tried rooting the device but to do this, I have been trying to backup the device using Miracle Thunder, installed the necessary drivers but the phone doesn't connect. Its always stuck on connecting phone, then when I unplug I get the "unstable com port" error message. I downloaded virtual com port and did as instructed but still didn't get any good results. If you have any solution on how to easily root this stubborn phone please let me know. Thank you

(08-03-2019, 11:00 AM)mrchurchie So i did try this, but the problem is that what i see in the device manager is different from the said driver in the tutorial which is "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" but in my device manager I have "Qualcomm HS-USB Android DIAG 9020(COM 14) and " Qualcomm HS-USB Android GPS 9020 (COM 21) Respectively. I have tried uninstalling them but when I reinstall, they still come back. Meanwhile before I installed them, the missing android drivers were 4 in number.

you've not forced the phone into edl mode properly, see the link i sent for how to force into edl mode. you need to unscrew and loosen the phone
