Tecno W3 failed to mount data after flash
#1

Good afternoon Hovatek's I have Tecno W3 which I'm to flash having a boot loop screen (hanging at first boot screen). After flashing, it's still the same. Checking to format it through recovery I got failed to mount /data (invalid argument). And the internal storage is having zero (0).

Pls I need your assistance.

If i am getting you correctly then you tried to flash your stock firmware in your device which has bootloop issue and you stuck at boot.

Try wiping data and cache twice in recovery  and reflash your stock rom(correct build) ,factory reset your device then reboot

This is  sign of bad emmc chip.
Elsewhere  you can try to port ,your custom recovery by
Mtk auto twrp/pilz porter tool and  try to change partion type to FAT and reformat as EXT4.

First try flashing other build firmware because you're not sure the correct build no of your device ,so flash it and do a factory reset then reboot.

If this will work then you don't need of cwm/twrp recovery ..

you'll need to try as many W3 roms you can find, check the list @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-19340.html
use firmware upgrade option when flashing then try factory resetting in recovery mode
