My phone is already rooted but I've heard it requires a custom kernel... What is a custom kernel and is it device specific?

Custom kernel are actually modified stock kernel and they are device specific too (you can say)
You can find it, if anybody has created for your device

Custom kernel are actually modified stock kernel and they are device specific too (you can say)
You can find it, if anybody has created for your device
Noone has, can I create one myself? Or port one for my device?
