Please i want to know what exactly the firmware upgrade option does on sp flash tool, does it format the phone making it not to charge or power on, is it safe to use this option because i used download only unticking preloader when trying to update my note 4 and it went dead, not charging or powering on and i had to flash it back it 7.0,what am saying is i want to try the firmware upgrade option to upgrade it again so how safe is it?

The key is not the option you chose,it lies in your build number.

State the build number of your phone now (i.e the build number of the 7.0), also state the full name of the one you flashed(i.e the one that bricked the phone)

My build number is X572-H5312AD-N-180119V166 and i flashed this x572-H5312AD-0-180810V157 and also x572-H5312AD-O-180531V142, the 2 firmware resulting in the same thing.

Use "download only" option to flash x572-H5312AD-O-180531V142, untick preloader and secro. I've upgraded one exactly like yours, and this worked the first trial.

how does the phone behave after flashing any of those firmware? (dead, bootloop or stuck on logo)

After flashing, it went dead, not charging, not powering on at all, but system could detect it

Please i did that exactly but i unticked only preloader.bin, and flashed others even secro, could this be why it went dead, is flashing secro now risky, i don't understand

After flashing it went dead, not charging or powering on anymore, i also unticked preloader.bin, flashed every other thing both userdata and cache.

The battery might be drained, leave the phone connected to charger for few hours and see, you can also disconnect/reconnect the phone's battery to fasten the process.
