Hi,

I've downloaded Infinix Hot 4 STOCK files (the Nougat ending with V163) and I can't seem to be able to extract the system.img and recovery.img. All other contents of the zip file extracts just fine.

I really need the system.img file so that I can flash my phone back to Stock using SPTools.

Also, the reason why I rooted was to
1. Change my IMEI
2. Install and run Magisk to hide frok SafetyNet.

Neither of my reasons for flashing seems to work. I rooted using Philz method and Magisk frame work doesnt seem to play nice. To change IMEI doesn't work as MTKEngr doesn't seem to have CDS information under connectivity.

Please, how can I achieve either of my issues and is it possible to get a Mega link to just system.img and recovery.img for Infinix Hot 4 X557-H807AD-N-171110V163 in particular.

What is your current build number?
How and with what device did you download the firmware?

Build number is X557-H807AD-N-171110V163

I downloaded the firmware with ADM and with UCbrowser again when the first file didn't extract well.
Used my Infinix Hot 4 2+16GB

where did you download the rom from? post the download link here

According to https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-230...#pid138262 , he mixed files from two different builds i.e sourced files that didn't extract from the other build's rom

But mine wouldn't extract. Dunno why.
Just need system.img and recovery.img. I have been able to extract boot.img.

did you try system and recovery from the other rom build in the post @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-230...#pid138262 ?

You mean I should flash the system.img and recovery.img of Marshmellow build with the boot.img of Nougat build?!

Wouldn't that brick it?
