I have this tecno k9 I want to flash but each time I try by connecting it via USB, it  charges instead and won't be detected by the tool. 
My drivers are installed when I check my device manager
MEDIATEK FA USB PORT (COM19) 
MEDIATEK PRELOADER USB VCOM (android) (vom20
Mediatek USB port  {com23} 
Mtk USB debug port {com21} 
Mtk USB modem port {com23} 


These are the drivers I found though with unsigned error icons.

What's your pc windows version? 10/8/7
Also, why do you want to flash the phone, is there anything wrong with it?

Thanks so much for your quick response. My system is windows 10.

I want to flash it because it's always saying low memory after installing jus Facebook and I have a enough space in memory card. It's a 16/2 memory capacity.
I have done factory reset but still it says same thing after installing Facebook or whatsap and the phone starts lagging. So. I thought flashing could fix it

If the device is a clone, it is likely it has a very low internal storage space and RAM which is where your problem stems from.
Have you been able to establish that it is the original Tecno K9 device??

Note: I have come across a clone K9, compare the position of the mouthpiece hole to that of other K9 phones around you.

Wow! OK I will get one k9 to confirm if it is cloned.
In that case, I won't need to engage in flashing anymore.

...i also noticed that this also affects the internal memory. Once I sent a video of about 900mb, the low memory signal shows up. Is this also a sign of cloned device?

What can be done to fix it please? Thank you for your continued support and helpful reply.

while you're checking the hardware differences, 
what's the chipset of your K9? find out using the app @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13054.html
goto settings > about phone >>   what's the kernel version? better still attach a full screenshot of the entire about phone screen showing android and kernel version

also check how much storage and free space you have on settings > storage
connect the phone to PC and check the storage via PC too
then also check using this app @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai....sdi&hl=en
post all the details here

Now I see a lot of differences. The phone suddenly identified as C3, OS 6.0 SDK 23  RAM TOTAL OF 456MB! INTERNAL MEMORY OF 1.6G!
THIS INFORMATION IS BY USING THE DROID TOOL. which is totally different from screen shot gotten from my default about phone .

exactly, the chipset alone already tells its clone and no hope for this one
