Hello hovatek users and moderators.
I bought a gionee f103 recently and the network is always on "EDGE/GSM", unsurprisingly this phone has both 3g & 4g lte. from researh i found out the 3g network of the f103 is tied to the chinese manufacturers, making it difficult to switch between 4g/3g/2g. Even using mtk engineering has yielded me no result at all. I recently read on a post- that flashing a custom would fix this issue, and on another- something about "SN Writer". I am not very experienced in this field, but i really love the f103 and if theres a way i could fix this without altering the firmware, i would be very grateful if someone can tell me. But if it requires flashing a custom rom please i will also like to know, can this really be achieved?

flashing a custom rom will not help neither will sn writer
