Good day everyone, I want to quickly take us through the process of deleting junk files from our systems to make it load and process files faster.
A lot of factors contribute to the reasons why our computer slows down ranging from overloading the computer, having many icons on our desktops, and not restarting our computers regularly among others.

What are junk files

Junk files are files generated by the operating system every time a task is run on the computer, junk files helps to make sure that you are able to enjoy the task you initiated on your computer, these tasks include launching a software, opening a folder or file, creating a document, installing software among others.
These junk files become useless as soon as you exit the task, so unless you delete them, they keep pilling up and take considerable amounts of space on your computer and affect its speed.
The junk folder include files with extentions such as .tmp, .png, .xpi, .eud, .lock,  and so on.

How to locate the Temp folder

  1. Hold the windows logo key plus 'r' key to open the run command,
  2. Type %temp% and press enter,
  3. Delete all files and folders you see in the Temp folder,
  4. If you face any error during the process of deleting the files, simply click 'skip' to skip deleting that certain file or folder because it means that the task that uses that file or folder is still running on your computer.
