How root on Doopro P2 Pro (Qualcomm msm8909)

hi nerds,

own two Doopro P2 Pro, one with faulty recovery (cause of some rooting tries) and one in full stock condition ...

1. looking for free solution to recover/backup the recovery.img (or the full rom) from the working one too the other one ... to get both back in stock condition first

2. would like to root both, but seems difficult on qualcomm msm8909 chipset ... I mean without to need to pay extra wonga for money-milking-dongle-tools ...

3. was searching the net fror Doopro P2 Pro stock rom, but had no luck - maybe you know any source?

Ran a quick search but nothing solid came up.
Maybe you can try requesting the firmware from their support website @ http://www.doopro.cc/category/firmware-download even though no guarantee they can give it to you.
My suggestion is: try and get a hardware dongle to make firmware backup, that is the easiest way.

ty, but I have no idea about these dongles, which one I need for this phone etc.? I just saw some pricings arround 70 USD ... feels crazy for cheap china phone like that anyhow ... already tried to call doopro service but no answer ... the stock rom is pretty secured for root accessing ... I guess they want to be sure about the build in commercial watching - every 5min you get pretty annoying commercial overlays ... Dodgy

Truth is you're going to need a dongle to backup that phone since the firmware isn't available
