infinix hot s (x521) Sp flash and format error
#1

Hi guys

I got this infinix hot s phone that will not only boot (stuck at boot) but can't event boot into recovery. I try flashing using sp flash tool but keep getting these errors: S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008) and S_FORMAT FAIL (4010) when u try to format.

I have searched all over; I have been instructed to download other versions of the stock rom, use format all +download, firmware upgrade but nothing seems to work. I also tried flashing and formating with miracle box but to no avail.
When I try to boot to recovery, it's stuck at infinix logo.

NOTE: i have latest sp flash tool, used smdt, and do flash other phones with the same tool.

please help

Tried 3, concluded it couldn't have been the roms: reason been that, SP flash tool and miracle box couldn't format the phone (but am not sure if am right)

it might be due to wrong firmware.
i take it that you haven't been able to flash anything onto this device since it got bricked.
use miracle box to readinfo from the device. if successful, you should get the current build number
with that in hand, download the right firmware then use latest version of SPft to flash

I need you to confirm that since the device got bricked, you've been unable to successfully flash any firmware to it.
If this is true then your original Build Number is X521-J5088A1-M-160712V14
1. How exactly did the phone get bricked
2. Have you tried using Infinix Flash tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-9224.html

Yeah, since it got bricked there has never been any successful firmware flash.

On how the phone got bricked; I was using the flashflight when I tried to turn data on. The phone started to heat up and then went off - the problem has ever since remain

Have I tried flashing with infinix flash tool? Yes I did but never successful.

using the X521-J5088A1-M-160712V14 rom, do you get the same two errors [4008 when you try to flash and 4010 when you try to format first] ?
if yes, then its likely hardware related
