Hello!
I have a bricked MTK phone (and by bricked I mean completely dead),which I can't flash with SP Flash Tools.

Methods applied + Results:

1.Auto Format Flash : BROM ERROR : S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3153)
2.Download only (with preloader) : BROM ERROR : S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008)

3.Download only (without preloader) : BROM ERROR : S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008)

Tried running SP Flash Tools on both Windows and Linux , the result is the same.
Is my MTK chipset gone?

How did it get bricked and are you using the firmware for this model?

The partitions (especially nvdata , protect_s and protect_f) suddenly started to go corrupt for no apparent reason.
I have tried to restore them from custom recovery, but I kept getting "Failed to mount /...".
When I have tried flashing the phone with SP Flash Tools for the first time, the flashing process didn't even start.However, SP Flash Tools destroyed all my partitions (they now show 0 MB).The phone is now completely dead, not even showing the branding logo.
When I connect the phone to my computer, I only get connection to MTK USB Port (not MTK Preloader Port).
I am using the correct firmware for my phone.
I've even tried flashing it with Miracle Box.The same, eMMC Download Failure.

As a noob I just did something very similar.

First make sure your battery is a fully charged as possible (that was the start of my problems).

In Windows open Device Manager (Windows10, right click start button, Device Manager & enable View Hidden Devices from menu). Connect phone switched off. Check Com Ports for MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android) & MediaTek USB Port. Sometimes multiple copies. Remove phone.

UN-install all MediaTek ports (right click each one, the select UN-Install, but don't delete driver software).

Start SPFT and load up Scatter file. Press Download then connect phone, still switched off. Windows should re-install the driver to the correct Com Ports and connect to SPFT.

PS I bought a little desktop phone battery charger on ebay for less than £5 delivered next day and it works great.
