I have a sony Xperia E5 (F3311) and I want to change the IMEI.
I have read it is MTK6735.
The phone is not rooted.
I tried GSM Aladdin but it does not detect the phone.
When I click on start it search the phone and then it says "Can not find phone".
Here is the steps I have done:
- Reboot Windows to disable checking of signed drivers
- Install Mediatek VCOM drivers (both DA USB VCOM and PreLoader USB VCOM) for Win7 x64 (I have Win10 x64)
- Download GSM Aladdin from this forum (v1.34 with launcher)
- Launch GSM Aladin through the launcher
- Click on Connect --> Registry 2 error so I installed the BlackBerry drivers (from this forum) and relaunched GSM Aladdin (I did not reboot the computer)
- Click on MeidaTek tab, then Info, then Start
- Power off the phone, then connect it with USB wire
- The phone powers on and displays battery charging
- GSM Aladdin says "Can not find phone"
I also tried to power on the phone, then connect it to the computer, then click on "Start" but it also does not find the phone.
GSM Aladdin only sees BlackBerry driver COM ports (6 and 7), it does not see MediaTek COM ports (4 and 5).
Do you have any idea to solve my issue ?
Must I tried another soft to change IMEI ?
