The BLU Vivo 5R is an MT6753 powered phone running on Android 6 (Marshmallow) but upgradable to Android 7 (Nougat). If you've upgraded yours to Android 7 (Nougat) and wish to root, then follow the guide below

- If your device is still running Android 6 (Marshmallow) and you wish to root, follow the entire procedure below but use SuperSU 2.78 @ https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457084094631642692
How to root the BLU Vivo 5R (Nougat)
- Dump your firmware in scatter format using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
- Download SuperSU 2.82 @ https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/super...271822.zip and save to both phone storage and SD card
- Create a new folder named Hovatek on your PC
- Copy preloader.bin from your Miracle Box backup into the Hovatek folder
- Download TWRP for BLU Vivo 5R ported by Team Hovatek @ https://mega.nz/#!xPhTzCCS!ySBE-o8eYk_Y_...16xuMxdh6A
- Copy the TWRP recovery.bin and scatter file from the TWRP zip file downloaded above into the Hovatek folder, making peloader.bin, scatter file and recovery.bin (TWRP) in the folder
- Flash the preloader.bin and recovery.bin using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html
- Boot the phone into recovery mode (Vol up + Power) after flashing
- In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow TWRP modify the system partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
- In TWRP recovery, tap Install
- Navigate to the location of the SuperSU.zip and select it
- Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete
- Reboot the phone normally
- Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en
