Hello Hovatek, My vodafone mode K4203 cannot connect to Internet as it always shows no signal or no service anytime SIM is inserted into the modem. Please help me fix it.

Are you running windows 7 on your pc?

is this a recently developed fault or you bought the modem like this?
BTW ensure you inserted / placed the sim properly
ensure you placed a working sim
ensure your modem isnt locked to a particular network meanwhile you inserted a different network's sim
check the sim seat of the modem if its broken

No please am running windows 10 but ever since i started experiencing the problem i tried it with a friends windows 7 machine but it never worked out.

Is a recently developed fault because i have been using the modem for a while now....it is a decoded modem and can use all SIMs... when i use the sim with any other device it works out well but only this modem says no signal or no service. I think the Sim seat is alright because when you check the properties at the advanced option, you can see the sim number which is inserted.

A friend upgraded the version for me.... can that be the cause?

i think you alone or your friend should be able to verify this,
if you've tried all the things i pointed out earlier on and the issue started immediately after the upgrade then its likely the upgrade is the cause
