When I try to load the scatter file into an older version of SP tools I get the error that the scatter file failed to load due to the name.

"Error: Initializing scatter file failed. Please check the name of the scatter file which you load is legal."

(30-10-2017, 07:36 PM)triki The scatter file loads with errors about boundary checks. Should i disable the boundary checks ?
screenshot attached.

i dont think that will help, the error might clear but you might still run into a different error but you can still try disabling all boundary checks within the scatter file then see what happens.
also try
* dumping in scatter file format using miracle box again, lets know if its succeeds or you get an error this time around
* flashing only recovery file from the previous dump you made earlier using gsm alladin @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15899.html

Anytime I try to read the device in meta-mode I get the same error:
BootData ERR(1): E48AEC_3

I tried writing backup with Aladdin and got another error(attached).

I found this site (http://portablets.com/producto/firmware-...2016-5-26/) that offers the stock firmware for a price. Does anyone know if this is legit ?

When I try to use SP Flash tool v.3 to avoid the error "target storage type is HW_STORAGE_NONE, I get another error that 'BROM ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (2005)" I have check your error page(https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-439.html) and none of those fixes seem to work.
To recap where I am currently at, the tablet cannot be powered on, but I can get it into Meta-mode by pressing the reset button twice then plugging it into my laptop. The laptop recognizes it as I installed the win7 USB drivers recommended from another of your tutorials. So at this point I am able to get the laptop to recognize the device but not write anything to it.

Error 2005 means the device is trying to power up instead of flash

I'm wondering if I need to get a newer version of MiracleBox, I see that version 2.60 supports more MediaTek devices. What do you think ?
