Hello,
Sorry for my bad English from google translation ...

I acquired an ACER Liquid Z6 (T09) and since I try to root it but without getting there.
I tried all solutions in 1 click.

This weekend, I spent trying to follow this [Tutorial] "How to backup / dump a Mediatek Android phone's firmware using Miracle Box", That I followed step by step.
But without result,Miracle box always returns the same answers:

Quote:  1. Power Off Phone , Remove Battery, Insert Battery Back
  2. Insert USB cable. In some cases Required Hold BootKey
  3. Use Miracle Boot Key In cases Boot key not Find
  4. Battery Should be Charged more then 50%
  Waiting for USB Port...
  Waiting for USB Port...
>>none usbport, maybe driver not installed

I also tried this [Tutorial] "How to make an MTK Droid tools backup of an MTK Android phone". Identical results for each attempt:
Code:

In the system already available: Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.32

 --- >>> Connect to device <<< ---
 --- ERROR: --- TotalBytesPerChunk Not Found. Set default Page / Spare = 2048/64 !!!
--- unknown ROM structure, backup NOT possible!
WARNING! File / system / recovery-from-boot.p which restore factory recovery in case of switching telephone in normal mode is found!

Below are the specifications of my T09 :

Code:

Hardware : MT6737
Model : T09
Build number : Acer_AV0M0_T09_1.034.00_EMEA_GEN1
Build date UTC : 20170302-031618
Android  v : 6.0
Baseband v: MOLY.LR9.W1444.MD.LWTG.MP.V81.6.P36, 2017/01/20 16:24
Kernel v : 3.18.19 (tt@servers08-PowerEdge-T630) (gcc version 4.8 (GCC) ) #1 SMP  Thu Mar 2 11:15:28 CST 2017

If you have a suggestion, I'm interested.
Merci.

Miracle Box is about your best bet.
1. What version of Miracle Box are you using and is it with Loader or Box (need to verify support for your chipset)?
2. Did you install VCOM drivers as instructed in the guide
3. Did you connect the phone with or without battery, Holding any buttons or not?

2. Yes, Step by step.
Undecided

Last night I tried to remove all the android, adb and MTK drivers installed on my windows seven.
And I taken back the installation of the VCOM drivers and installing only them.
This has not changed much, except that the miracle box recognizes my phone and displays it in the status bar.

I doubt that your chipset is supported.
You're going to try 2 variations (to see if you'll be lucky)

1. Connect without holding any button
2. Hold Power + Volume up + Volume down then connect

If that doesn't work then you'll need to do a readback using SP flash tool to obtain stock recovery.img which I'll use to port a custom recovery

Before seeing if I'm lucky ... I found more recent drivers (v: 3.0.1504.0) than those proposed here, after installation, one by one, with test between two. Same result.

And as far as your proposal is concerned-
1. the phone is in charging mode and is detected as a mass drive. No change of state of the miracle box.
2. the phone boot on the recovery menu, no change to the miracle box.

I want to try SP flash tool, but also, I have no way to extract the scatter file

edit : There is a way with ADB or other, to access the phone system folder and delete the file "recovery-from-boot.p" which I think hangs when I try to root my phone ???

I guess it'll have to be an SP Flash tool readback
Follow the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-526.html and dump ONLY recovery & boot (one after the other)
No Need for MTK Droid tools since you already have scatter (MT6737M) @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-12724.html
You can obtain the values you need for the readback from the scatter file

physical_start_addr = start
partition_size = length

It does not work, when I connect the phone off to the USB, it is in charging mode and there is no communication with SP flash tool, the status bar desperately indicates 0B in transfer speed and no time count ...

I have tried with developer mode enabled, with usb debugging enabled and not enabled, and developer mode not enabled.

USB debugging isn't required. Just VCOM drivers @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-440.html
