[Please help] How to root tecno n2 running android 6.0 marshmallow?

i have tried all rooting apps with no luck, i have also tried through adb and failed miserably as I could not even unlock bootloader, the volume up button does not function

one click root tools don't really work on marshmallow devices yet.
you'll need to root using a custom recovery.
backup your firmware in scatter file format using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
upload the scatter file and recovery image then paste the link here
and also state your build number

If you've downloaded the firmware @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-311.html then upload the recovery.img + scatter file.
Also, what's your phone's Build Number?

just follow the guide and if you get stuck somewhere you can always ask for help
