Requirements
- VMware (download @ http://getintopc.com/softwares/emulators...-download/ )
- Mavericks ISO (download @ https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B9yHl-Szp...t=download )
- A Windows PC (4GB RAM with Vitualization enabled in BIOS)
How to install Mac OS X in Windows using VMware
- Launch VMware program
- Click on File > New Virtual Machine
- In the window that appears next, Click on Custom (advanced) then click on Next
- Select Workstation 12.0 in the hardware compatibility drop-down box then click on Next
- Click on "Installer disc image file (ISO)" then click on Browse
- Navigate to the location of the Mavericks ISO file > select it then click on Open
- Click on Next
- Tick the round box beside Apple Mac OS X
Then select Mac OS X 10.7 in the drop-down box (Mavericks is actually 10.9 but this is to prevent future errors)
- Click on Next
- Give your virtual machine a name then Click on Next
- Tick the round box beside BIOS then Click on Next
- Select number of processors (should be 1 then you can increase the number of cores of processor depending on your PC's specs)
- Set RAM size for the virtual machine (a minimum of 2GB is required)
- Tick the round box beside "Use network address translation (NAT)" then Click on Next
- Tick the round box beside "LSI Logic" then Click on Next
- Tick the round box beside "SATA" then Click on Next
- Tick the round box beside "Create a new virtual disk" then Click on Next
- Specify the maximum disk size (should be above 15GB) then Tick the round box beside "Store virtualdisk as a single file" then Click on Next
- Leave the disk file name the way it is then Click on Next
- On the next window that appears, Click on Finish
- Click on "Power on this virtual machine"
- A black CMD prompt like screen should appear, Press Enter key to proceed
- Select "Use english for the main language" then click the arrow button
- Click on Continue
- The license agreement screen should appear, Click on Agree
- Click on Utilities > Disk Utility...
- Select the disk with the partition size you created earlier on > Click on the ERASE tab
format: should be Mac OS Extended
Name: can be anything you like
Then click on Erase
- In the confirmation box that appears, click Erase
- Once the disk has been erased successfully, Click the small red button on the top left hand corner in order to close the disk utility windows
- Click on Customize
- Open up "Other Optimizations" > tick the check box beside VMware-Virtual-Machine then click OK
- Select the disk you erased earlier and Click on Install
- Wait while Mac OS Mavericks installs
- Once successful, the installation process would prompt for a restart (it would auto-restart after a 10 secs countdown)
- You might get stuck on a blank grey coloured screen (If you don't then skip this step)
- Simply force restart the guest OS (click on the small arrow beside the pause button then click on Restart Guest)
- Wait while the Guest OS restarts (Mac OS should begin loading)
- On the welcome screen, tick the check box beside Show All > scroll down and select your country from the list then click on Continue
- Choose your keyboard layout (select US if you are not sure) then click continue
- Choose your network connection profile then click continue
- Select "Don't transfer any information now" and click continue
- Click on Agree to proceed from the license agreement screen
- In the confirmation box that appears, click on Agree
- Fill in your name, account name and password (it's compulsory) then click continue
- Wait while Mac sets up the machine
- Once successful, you should now get to the Mac OS desktop screen
