Flashtool required me to unlock my device bootloader when flashing patched boot.img with the flashtool error given in the process. So I unlocked it through fastboot as required. So, I want to ask how to lock the bootloader and unroot incase of system update.

to unroot flash only stock.img, that's if you havent modified the phone's system. But if you do then you'll to flash the full firmware or atleast boot.img, system.img and recovery.img.
