Bricked my Archos Hello 7 - Cindeade - 25-01-2022

Hello Everyone.

I have been looking and reading for some time now, but cant get it to work.
This is my first mediatec device, and I belive this is why i went wrong.

My archos Hello 7 device is stuck in an bootloop, and i can not get is in fastboot or recovery.

I was trying to get twrp on it using the methode I was used to, using fastboot.
fastboot flashing unlock

After it rebooted I went back in fastboot to install the tywrp recovery I created using A tool found here on the forum.

And this is where it went wrong.

Now I am trying to to use the flash tool to recover it but without any luck. I get error 0x0060003
It appairs to be because the bootloader is locked.

I tried most of items found her on this forum without any luck  Confused

So please help me to get it up and running again.

After sending the unlock command, did your phone bring up a prompt to press a Vol key to unlock your phone?

Use either of this commands to check your bootloader status.

fastboot oem device-info
fastboot getvar unlocked

Thanks for the fast reply..

If I could get in to fastboot I could just flash te recovery back to original.. But I can't get in to the device. Its in a bootloop.

Wen I turn it on I get a screen with the archos logo and the text; Orange state , your device is unlocked and can't be trusted.
It stays on for 20 seconds or so and reboots.
Using the flashtool I am able to get it in Mediatec preloader usb vcom mode, but wen i try to dis and reconnect the usb cable it is no longer visible and shown as an unknown device in windows.
It stays in this mode until I turn it off by pressing the on/off button for 20 seconds.

Hold the buttons for BROM mode while its connected to PC. MTK bypass should detect once it goes off

I also have A working Hello 10, Witch has the same hardware but 10 inch screen .
This one works, so i tried to do the bypass.. but I get the same errors ..Wanted to be shure it was not because it was stuck in bootloader.

The MT8167 seems to be A hard nut to crack.. but I hope to get it running again..had it for 1 day before I messed it up.

RE: Bricked my Archos Hello 7 - Cindeade - 03-02-2022

I tried some more but no luck Sad

A litle list of what I did.
* diverent cables
* lot of diverent flashtools and DA files
* diverent usb drivers
And al of these on diverent computers running windows 7 and 10.

I was hoping to find someone smarter then me Tongue to get it running again.
So at least I got some good news Smile
For now I wil just keep looking to get it solved and realy hope there is someone who can help.

Links to Apropper DA file of working tools or Anything that would help, would be appriciated.

It seems its down to a DA. Have you tried DA for other models by this brand?
