Unable to flash TECNO Y6 ROM - Printable Version

Unable to flash TECNO Y6 ROM - 4jean - 17-11-2016

i GET dram fail 4032 error when i am trying to flash tecno y6. I have tried the two variants of the y6 from the collection https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-311.html but yet its not working, i have changed usb cords, battery, allso uninstall and reinstall mtk vcom drivers, as well as delete and redownload the spflash v5 but when i try to reflash it just stops at the red bar then displays DRAM fail.

Actually the phone belongs to my bro, he gave it earlier to someone to fix so i dont know if they tried to flash a wrong rom and now its refusing any other rom. but it still detect whenever its connected to the pc. I also tried removing the battery and using the volume combination +, -,  Power. Could it be the phone is permanently dead. Please help

Your Y6 must be of a different variant.
Try backing up the phone in scatter format using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
Let me know if backup is succesful

Your Y6 must be of a different variant.

Let me know if backup is succesful

The issue now is that the phone is bricked that's why I can't even check the build number. It's not turning on. It only detects when I connect to pc

Apparently, there is.
If SP flash tool is still able to read the phone then miracle box should be able to for a backup attempt.
I'm trying to get the Build Number

I followed the Miracle Box guide in this thread https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html but I get this error BootData ERR(2): 0_0

This is the log file details

1. Power Off Phone , Remove Battery, Insert Battery Back
2. Insert USB cable. In some cases Required Hold BootKey
3. Use Miracle Boot Key In cases Boot key not Find
4. Battery Should be Charged more then 50%
Waiting for USB Port...
Set MTK USB Port (COM17)
Please Hold "ON" to connect with the phone...
Connected to Phone.
CPU: MT6572 SW:0000 Ver: CA01
Downloading Boot8 ...
BootData ERR(2): 0_0

I'm hoping I can get the original Build number and it has not been overwritten by flashing

I have tried several times with different usb and batteries also without battery but bootdata error persists
