The driver is detected by the laptop though its on and off

ok. try another USB cord, port and PC. also, ensure you installed vcom drivers using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-440.html

Just to add, when my infinix was bricked if I plug it to a laptop the sound comes on n off, i advice u proceed to flash, after loading the scatter file click download and wait for few secs then while holding volume up plug in the USB to the phone and wait for it to flash

I succeeded to download the VCOM USB file, and followed the procedure you gave me to install to through device manager. but when i connect the phone, its on and off (connecting and disconnected
