I bought an mi/xiaomi slightly used phone. Upon reset, Im stuck on the mi account lock screen. Please help me with the necessary steps to gain access to the phone as the phone is practically useless to me right now. Thank you.

is the bootloader of this device unlocked?
if bootloader is unlocked then flash persist.img from the factory firmware using fastboot
if bootloader is not unlocked then you'll either need an authorized account to flash using mi flash or you use a hardware box / dongle tool with support for this model e.g ufi box, etc
