And the more reason why I don't understand it is because I got it from my brother. So please is there anyone who knows what i can do ?

the phone is not discoverable when powered on or off?
no connection sound when you connect the device? device manager doesn't refresh?

check and try a different USB cable, different port on the PC or a different PC, or replace the USB port on the device
