Hey guys!
I want to root my redmi 9C
Is there any official or unofficial twrp for redmi 9c?
Is it safe to root with magisk patched boot.img?
Or any other trick that can help to root my phone?
It is safe to unlock bootloader of my phone with adb tools or I should unlock bootloader will the mi unlock tool instead?
Thanks

when flashing vbmeta, use the stock vbmeta for your exact phone build and use the "--disable-verity --disable-verification" command from method 3 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32719.html

Hey Guys!
I have redmi 9C Global 3/64 variant
I want to root it.

It is running on Android 10.

MiUI 12.0.8 Global Stable (QCRMIXM)

Model:M2006C3MG

I tried to unlock bootloader with mi unlock tool but it gave me time of 168 hours to wait.

Have already installed adb tools and driver's.

I have already patched boot.img file with magisk manager downloaded vbmeta.img file everything is ready but I have some concerns
.
Should I flash vbmeta.img file before flashing magisk patched.img file or after flashing magisk patched.img

I saw a post on XDA to root redmi 9C here:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-t...l.4200183/

If bootloop issue after flashing vbmeta.img file then what should I do?

Any idea will be accepted!

Thanks in Advance!

Do you mean I need stock vbmeta for redmi 9C or empty vbmeta downloaded by Google?

I have some concerns
In the thread I saw empty vbmeta for disabling verification but you are saying stock vbmeta.

(24-01-2021, 07:02 AM)Haseebpk66 ...

you should flash vbmeta before patched boot, and use stock vbmeta for your phone's exact build along with the command "fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" to avoid bootloop
if you do encounter a bootloop, your bootloader is already unlocked so you can always flash back to stock using fastboot. see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-27300.html

i think i was clear enough, if not then use stock vbmeta from the exact firmware build on your device
