Custom Recovery Undetected in Infinix x571
Custom Recovery Undetected in Infinix x571
Quote:Following the procedure in this forum, I successfully got my x571 rooted. However, I am unable to boot to recovery. I have tried every procedure I have read but each time, it just boots the system and not the recovery. I installed ROM Toolbox Lite and tried to use it to boot to recovery. The ROM Toolbox just hanged. The only way I can boot to recovery is to connect to my laptop and launch adb and fastboot (command: fastboot boot recovery.img).
I also tried to install TWRP using FlashTools and the Scatter file and TWRP image file. It seemed to run smoothly with the "Success" message at the end. But the device would still not boot to recovery. The Official TWRP app says it cannot even locate a recovery on the device! I am lost and would appreciate any help. (By the way, the device otherwise works normally and is confirmed to be rooted.)

(17-04-2018, 04:39 PM)rsawoseyin The build no.: X571-H5311A-N-170701V151
I got the TWRP from somewhere in this forum.
The porting tool you pointed me to for TWRP does not cover Android 7 which my device is.

the TWRP you downloaded is probably not meant for your build
port using the tool in the link @innagee sent [the tool supports android 7 maybe you didn't look closely]
(17-04-2018, 08:35 PM)rsawoseyin I launched the tool - both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. When I run it, it asks me to enter the Android version number, and it says "Hint: 4 for kitkat... 6 for Mashmallow". It says nothing about Nougart (Android 7). When I enter 7, it just keeps repeating the prompt to enter the Android version number. Perhaps you can show a screenshot of where you entered 7 and it accepted it.

Please, re-click the link in his comment. we're pretty sure Nougat is supported
