Morning Hovatek Team,

I just got a new device the Zero 4 and see that it doesn't have a custom TWRP recovery for it though got a CTR recovery by Dennis Murimi. I am not really jazzed by the CTR so decided if I would be able to port it myself and did try different methods from the various MTK threads/posts online but all in vain.
I would really appreciate if you can port for me the TWRP for my device so I can be able to root it as well. The details are as follows, thanks for your support.

Infinix X555 Zero 4 MT6753
Build number X555-H538A-N-170521V167
Android Security Patch April 5 2017
Running XOS 2.2 Build XOS-P55-170510

Please find below the link to the scatter and recovery.

Thanks again Awaiting response from you.

Hello Admin,

Thanks for your response, did flash it using sp tools, even booted to twrp but unfortunately doesn't respond to the touch panel so it just remains on the decrypt data screen. So cannot format data and run the root zip file as nothing on the touch panel responds. Kindly advise the way forward. Your assistance is appreciated.

Thanks again

Hello
Yes did manage to root it with supersu 2.8x after flashing the CTR and it worked well. But CTR is too slow and kind of unfriendly. Also doesn't have an option of NVRAM/NVDATA backup.
Just need advice, if I reflash stock ROM and then flash this TWRP shall it work?
Thanks

Its unlikely to.
You could try flashing the TWRP using rashr after rooting. No guarantees though

Tried that as well but no luck, touch still unresponsive.
Also flashed stock with flashtools and then tried still nothing. Seems like have no option but to stick to CTR.
How about Philz? Is it possible to get that? At least that has the options similar to TWRP.
Please advice.
Thanks for your support always

Hello Team,

The Philz is functional with the hard buttons not the touch panel. Better than CTR, though the battery % is constantly @ 0, which could be ignored. Thanks for the recovery much appreciated.

Romero.
