Most striking being that they have broken through their 1GB RAM ceiling again (they first did it with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/itels-4g-volte-phones-itel-wish-a21-wish-a41-wish-a41-plus\/\">Itel Wish A41 Plus<\/a>) with both the <a href=\"https:\/\/hovatek.com\/order.php?brand=itel&amp;model=s41\">Itel S41<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/hovatek.com\/order.php?brand=itel&amp;model=S11 Plus\">Itel S11 Plus<\/a>\u00a0; featuring a fingerprint sensor in the S41 thus making it the very first Itel phone to feature a fingerprint sensor. Before now, you could guess that an Itel phone would either feature a 512 MB or 1 GB RAM but Itel has turned that page.<\/p>\n<h3>Itel S41 Key Specs<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>3GB RAM<\/li>\n<li>0.1s Fingerprint sensor<\/li>\n<li>8.0 MP Front \/ Secondary camera (with flash)<\/li>\n<li>8.0 MP Back \/ Primary camera<\/li>\n<li>4G LTE<\/li>\n<li>Android OS 7.0 (Nougat)<\/li>\n<li>5&#8243; screen<\/li>\n<li>16 GB ROM<\/li>\n<li>2700mAh Li-Polymer removable battery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>My take on the Itel S41<\/h2>\n<p>A few weeks back, I was eyeing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/itel-p41-specifications-price\/\">Itel P41<\/a>\u00a0for some of my Android Dev work but the Itel S41 has got me thinking again and considering holding on a while because I suspect Itel could have something even better just around the corner.<\/p>\n<h3>Battery<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;ll start with the not-so-great news. This model features a\u00a02700mAh, Li-Polymer removable battery. I would&#8217;ve liked to see more (was actually expecting 5000 mAh) but if they&#8217;ve improved battery optimization in this model then I guess that&#8217;s just OK. The good part is that its removable&#8230;.God! I hate inbuilt batteries! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h3>RAM &amp; ROM<\/h3>\n<p>Before now, the RAM field of an Itel phone&#8217;s specs would read either 512 MB or 1GB RAM. Itel shook things up with 3GB RAM on this model and 2GB RAM on the S11 Plus. Now, that&#8217;s very comforting for an Itel phone. This model also features a 16 GB ROM<\/p>\n<h3>Fingerprint Sensor<\/h3>\n<p>If my Itel history serves me right, this is the first Itel Android phone to feature a Fingerprint sensor. Itel touts the fingerprint sensor to have a 0.1s unlock time. Its easy to mistake the Smart key on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/itels-4g-volte-phones-itel-wish-a21-wish-a41-wish-a41-plus\/\">Itel Wish A41<\/a> for a fingerprint sensor but that&#8217;s just a shortcut button for Camera, Torch, Calls etc as seen in the image of the Itel Wish A41&#8217;s back below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5167\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/bpyeki\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Itel-A41-Smart-Key.jpg\" alt=\"Itel A41 smart key\" width=\"1866\" height=\"714\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Camera<\/h3>\n<p>The Itel S41 front and back camera are 8.0 MP each (both with flash). This is so far their highest front camera MP so far.<\/p>\n<h3>4G LTE &amp; Android Nougat<\/h3>\n<p>4G support is a must have in smartphones these days. This model ships with Android 7.0 Nougat. No itel phone has received a version upgrade \/ update till date (which remains one of my major issues with Itel) but I&#8217;m optimistic that they&#8217;ll also turn that page with a model anytime soon.
