The A31 is an entry level / budget phone and doesn’t really promise a bang for your buck but should come in handy as a spare phone or for below average users.

Itel A31 Key Specs

Android 7.0 Nougat

2400 mAh Li-Polymer battery

Mediatek Chipset

8.0 Megapixel (MP) Rear Camera

2.0 MP Front camera

1GB RAM

8 GB ROM

5 inch IPS screen

Quad-core, 1.3 GHz Processor

My opinion of the Itel A31

Selling Point

The only selling point of this model is its Android version which is one below the latest; Android 8.0 Oreo. I strongly doubt this phone will be getting that update so don’t hold your breath. Aside from that, this model falls head first and will only be ideal for below average or price conscious users.

Battery

Like its predecessors; the Itel A41 & Itel A41 Plus, the Itel A31 spots a 2400 mAh battery. This is pretty small for Itel which isn’t exactly notorious for long lasting batteries even at high capacities.

RAM & ROM

With the 1GB RAM + 8GB ROM / internal storage on this one, expect some lagging and overheating when performing heavy tasks. Itel phones are often between 512MB and 1GB RAM so this runs on the highest they’ve got 🙂 . If you want to enjoy this phone then ensure to root and debloat.

Camera

The Itel A31’s picture quality clearly won’t be spectacular but should come out OK. It spots a 2.0 MP Front / Secondary camera and an 8.0 MP Back / Primary camera just like its prequel; the Itel P51. Well, look on the bright side, the pictures won’t be sharp enough to reveal all those pimples and blackheads 🙂

Chipset & Processor

I’ve not had a smooth experience with Itel Quad Core 1.3 GHz but can’t complain because I wasn’t expecting more. The Mediatek chip would definitely give a smoother experience than if it had been running on Spreadtrum.

Itel A31 Specs

Here are the full specifications of the Itel A31

NETWORK

2G: Yes

3G/WCDMA/HSPA: Yes

4G LTE: No

BODY

Dimenions: 144.5*72.8*8.9mm

Weight: –

SIM Type: Micro

Number of SIMs: Dual

Colors: Carbon Blue, Champagne Gold & Black

DISPLAY

Type: IPS

Size: 5″

Resolution: 480 x 854 pixels

Multitouch: –

PLATFORM

OS:7.0 (Nougat)

Chipset: Mediatek (MTK)

Procesor (CPU): Quad Core 1.3 GHz

GPU: –

MEMORY

RAM: 1 GB

Internal: 8GB

Card slot: microSD, up to 32 GB

CAMERA

Primary / Back: 8.0 MP

Secondary / Front: 2.0 MP

Features: Autofocus, LED flash

Video: –

SOUND / Entertainment

Alert types: Vibration; MP3, WAV ringtones

Loudspeaker: Yes

3.5mm jack: Yes

Music Player: MP3/WAV/eAAC+/Flac/MIDI/WMA player

Video Player: Xvid/MP4/H.264/Xvid player

Noise cancellation: –

COMMS

WLAN: Yes

Bluetooth: Yes

WiFi Tethering / Hotspot: Yes

NFC: No

GPS: Yes

Radio: FM radio, RDS, recording

USB: microUSB 2.0

BIOMETRICS

Iris scanner: No

Fingerprint scanner: No

Voice recognition: Supported

SENSORS

Accelerometer: Yes

Proximity: Yes

Light: Yes

Gyroscope:Yes

Pedometer:No

Compass:

Fingerprint:No

Iris:No

GENERAL FEATURES

Messaging: SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM

Browser: HTML5

Java: No

Maps: Yes, Google maps

BATTERY

Capacity:2400 mAh

Standby: –

Talk time: –

CHARGING

Quick charge:No

Wireless charging:No

USB charging:Yes

Sequel to the Itel P51 (Itel’s first Nougat phone), Itel has introduced yet another Android Nougat phone, the Itel A31.
