The\u00a0Infinix Note 3 &amp; Note 3 Pro (both X601) had previously received a similar\u00a0update and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/infinix-zero-3-x552-gets-m-170426v52-xos-v2-2-via-ota-update\/\">Infinix Zero 3 (X552) got XOS v2.2<\/a>\u00a0via OTA. As customary with fresh version updates, there&#8217;ll be bugs and that&#8217;s what subsequent OTA updates are for&#8230;.to fix bugs.<\/p>\n<p>Good news is that Infinix has rolled out OTA updates for the Hot 4 (X557), Note 3 (X601-H536A1) &amp; Note 3 Pro (X601-H537A1) and these updates fix some bugs in the first Nougat build.<\/p>\n<p>The OTA update <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/your-phone-model-is-nothing-build-number-is-everything\/\">Build Numbers<\/a> are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Infinix Hot 4:\u00a0X557-H807AD-N-170512V44 @ 168.39 MB<\/li>\n<li>Infinix Note 3:\u00a0X601-H536A-N-170520V152 @ 520.34 MB<\/li>\n<li>Infinix Note 3 Pro:\u00a0X601-H537A-N-170520V103 @ 513.41 MB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Precautions to take before installing these OTA updates.<\/h3>\n<p>You are advised to take note of your phone&#8217;s Build Number\u00a0as this has gotten very important on Mediatek (MTK) devices over the years. These 3 devices have several variants as you can see at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/forum\/thread-533.html\">collection of Infinix stock ROMs \/ firmware<\/a>. Armed with your Build Number, you can then proceed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/forum\/thread-13347.html\">dump \/ backup your phone&#8217;s firmware using Miracle Box<\/a>\u00a0just incase something goes wrong. Its also important you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/how-to-unroot-a-mediatek-android-phone-in-order-to-successfully-install-an-ota-update\/\">unroot your Infinix Hot 4 (X557), Note 3 (X601) or Note 3 Pro (X601)<\/a>\u00a0because OTA updates + a rooted device or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/how-to-root-stubborn-android-5-0-lollipop-mediatek-phones-using-twrp-recovery\/\">custom recovery<\/a> don&#8217;t get along too well.<\/p>\n<h3>Downloading and installing the Infinix Hot 4, Note 3 and Note 3 Pro Nougat OTA bug fixes<\/h3>\n<p>With your Build Number written out, your firmware backed up, a well charged battery, your phone unrooted and running on stock recovery, you&#8217;re set to install the Nougat bug fix OTA update. Ensure you have a strong internet connection and sufficient data then head to Settings &gt; About &gt; System updates. Search for, download then install the OTA update.
