The procedures for installing Windows 7 and 8 are almost the same (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/how-to-install-windows-8-with-and-without-the-operating-system-cd-dvd\/\">https:\/\/www.hovatek.com\/blog\/how-to-install-windows-8-with-and-without-the-operating-system-cd-dvd\/<\/a>\u00a0) except that Windows 8 might require you to enter the licence key before installation.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"important\">Part 1: Getting the Operating System (OS) files in bootable format<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you already have the Operating System CD\/DVD then skip this step. If on the other hand the PC in question doesn&#8217;t have a CD\/DVD drive or you don&#8217;t have the OS CD\/DVD then this part is for you<br \/>\n<span class=\"important\">Requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>USB Drive (over 4GB)<\/li>\n<li>PC<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hovatek.com\/redirect.php?link=http:\/\/wudt.codeplex.com\/\">Windows 7 USB DVD Download tool<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/adf.ly\/1dftdK\">Windows 7 ISO file<\/a> (or download @ Microsoft website)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"important\">Procedure<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Launch\u00a0Windows 7 USB DVD Download tool and click on &#8220;Browse&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>In the window that pops us, select the ISO file then click &#8220;Open&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Next&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Under Choose media type, select &#8220;USB Device&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Select the USB device of your Choice then click &#8220;Begin copying&#8221; . If prompted to format it, Click Yes\/ OK<\/li>\n<li>Once the task is 100% complete, close Windows 7 USB DVD Download tool and remove the USB drive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now that you have bootable OS files, you can proceed to Part 2.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"important\">Part 2: Installing Windows 7 using CD\/DVD\/Bootable USB drive<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now, insert the Windows 7 CD\/DVD into the CD\/DVD drive. If you&#8217;re using a bootable USB drive then connect it to the PC. Once the Windows 7 CD\/DVD is inserted or the bootable USB drive is connected, shutdown the PC then follow the steps below.<\/p>\n<p>Boot the PC.
